I woke up in absolute darkness.

No memory of how I got there. Just my own panicked breathing, cold stone beneath my hands, and the certainty that I was going to die alone.

What I didn’t know then was how wrong I’d be about the alone part. My first desperate fight would lead to unlikely allies—companions I never expected. The dungeon I’d awakened in held secrets buried deeper than I could imagine, with game mechanics governing survival and mysteries hidden in every corridor. I’d end up building a home in the most hostile place imaginable, forging bonds with creatures who should have been my enemies.

Turns out, my presence here meant something bigger than simple survival.

But I didn’t know any of that yet.

All I knew was darkness, fear, and the desperate need to find light.
