In the 40-second century, the cure for death isn’t made in a lab, it’s stolen from a nightmare. Spark is a biological narcotic that halts aging, but it refuses to grow in captivity. It cannot be farmed, synthesized, or controlled. It blooms in the twisting, lethal jungles of the planet Wesley, a world overrun by mutated leviathans that rule the food chain.
Damien volunteers to be a Spark Raider. Him and Parker are mercenaries who drop from orbit to snatch the crop from the jaws of monsters. The pay is high enough to buy a lifetime of luxury, but the life expectancy on the ground is measured in minutes. Damien doesn’t care about the history or the politics; he just wants his payout.
On Wesley, the jungle doesn’t negotiate, and the monsters are always hungry.
