Having secured a foothold—and a reputation for questing—in the fantasy world of their imaginations, three friends aim to champion the kingdom’s tournament.

Still stuck in the world of their novel, Shango, Solitaire, and Beam have worked their way through hordes of goblins, thieves, and undead to become Redacle’s premier mercenary team. With their debts cleared, the three boys join the kingdom’s arena tournament to go toe-to-toe with the best fighters in all of Redacle and grind skill points.

While Beam leads the charge in the tournament, Shango and Solitaire use twenty-first-century science to develop guns, explosives, and metal alloys. But fighting won’t be enough if they want to improve the ruthless world around them. The boys must make new allies, curry favor with strategic partners, and develop new weapons to gain the power and leverage they need.

Now, with their inventions attracting attention from friend and foe alike, Shango, Solitaire, and Beam must negotiate their way through Redacle’s nobility and navigate the influence of the ruling class. But as they level up, the boys only have one goal in mind: bring justice to the victims of the world they created.
