Set more than a year after the traumatic events of Season 1. Based on the psychological report by Dr. Grunwald, Paula Beyer was suspended from duty. While she is trying, poorly, to adjust to her new life as a civilian, she remains convinced that the case was never solved. And it seems as if she may be right:

Several youths in Freidorf are involved in bizarre crimes that nobody can explain. But that’s not all: when police chief Gerhard Ritter disappears without a trace and Paula’s name appears at the scene of the crime, her superior Müller has no choice but to send her back to the small town.

Together with Jakob and Gandalf, Paula is finally pushed to find out who is behind all this – and what really happened in the city over 30 years ago.
