Tens of thousands of years in the past, monstrosities prowl the nighttime Martian skies and scythed beasts lumber through the violet grasses in the light of the red sun. Tribes of the planet’s inhabitants vie with knife and sword for power, even while ancient troves of weapons and technology are hoarded by priests.
With Garvey Dire missing from Mars for two years, his wives can no longer delay choosing a new mate. While suitors line up at the door, anxious to possess the Dire fortune and his comely wives recruit, Ntashia and Lana Dire recruit the Wizard of Ledgrim to use the ancient science of a recently discovered technology vault to launch a desperate attempt to recover Garvey Dire from his exile on Earth.
