“Always look before you leap,” my mamma used to say when I was growing up. I wish I’d listened.<\/p>\n

This is a heartbreaking story about a lesson learned too late in life, a mother’s day story to share with your children, and a sad lesson in growing up.<\/p>\n

This is for my mamma who passed away on October 19, 1974.<\/p>\n
